After two ferry trips, we arrive in Santorini. It was a little chilly and we had to pull out our coats which I was hoping not to need again until Moscow.
The view from our balcony was beautiful.
The "crib" provided by the hotel was not exactly what we were expecting.
Most of the time it was cloudy and drizzly, but whenever the sun came out we tried to make the most of it.
Tiff was nervous about going on the gondola, but there really wasn't much else to do, so she suffered through.
We spent a lot of time browsing shops during the rain, which Ella really liked. She must have inherited the Haslam shopping gene.
Time to go again. Tiff and Diana had to haul their suitcases up all the stairs.
We hung out on the top of the hill to catch the first non-rainy sunset of our stay. These statues disconcerted Ella, who kept saying, "Let him down!"
The sunset was beautiful, as advertised.
Our ability to appreciate the aesthetics was at odds with our desire to stay warm.
After two days, we were back on the move again, headed for Athens and then Istanbul. Wherever we could, we tried to save money by taking one cab instead of two. Ella loved the company in the back with her.

Just stopped by to catch up on your life. It looks like you are having some great traveling adventures. Isn't Santorini amazing!?!? I am just sorry you did not get to experience it in shorts. It is spectacualar in the summer.
