We spent Thursday and Friday in Park City with my parents. The kids spent their time frequenting the nearby candy store and playing in the rec room while Andrew and I took turns on the slopes.

Rusty the Snowman

Ella made friends quickly with Grandma Sandgren's snowman. She named him "Rusty". I think she misheard the song. Must be all the bacteria in her ears.

Here we go again

Ella's tubes fell out of her eardrums a few weeks ago. Since then she's had two ear infections and a ruptured eardrum (3rd time) and we've been to the doctor four times, twice on Sundays. She's such a trooper and hardly ever complains. Even when she woke me up early yesterday morning to tell me matter of faculty, "I need another bath, there's "plus" (pus) all over my hair." She's been getting a lot of free lollipops lately.

Christmas tree farm

We went with the Miners up to Crest Ranch in Santa Cruz to look for Christmas trees. It was beautiful and the kids had a great time running around.





Ella made friends and "held hands" with a lot of trees. She fits right in here.

Every Sunday when I put Claire's super adorable black dress coat on Ella exclaims "Oh! Claire looks like a baby Darth Vader!". I disagree.

Ella had a lot of questions; one of them being "why does the prince want that shoe? Is he going to wear it even though it's just one?"

More Disneyland

Disneyland with two kids is a different pace.... A lot more sitting and relaxing than I remember.

We could be in real trouble when this one gets her license

Ella's favorite rides: jungle cruise, buzz lightyear, and autopia

Claire did not really have strong feelings about the rides. She was along for whatever. She spent the majority of her time on the nap ride featured in her stroller.

When she woke up, she was happy.

Ella likes to pick Claire up and carry her around. This isn't easy as Claire is 2/3 her body weight (20 lbs to 30 lbs). I don't think Claire loves being carried, but there's not much she can do about it, so she usually puts up with it while wearing this expression of resigned annoyance.


Sometimes I wonder if she's secretly plotting her revenge. Check out her adorable tiny deltoid!
