Every night, right before I put Ella to bed I tell her I love her. I usually pause for a few seconds to see if she responds. Sometimes she says, "yeah" or "I need double blankies" but sometimes she says "I love you" back. Tonight she said, "Thank you for my life." I'm pretty sure she doesn't realize I actually am one of the people to thank for that, but I thought it was pretty astute nonetheless. Adorableness aside, she still had to go to bed.

especially nice to be appreciated going into another birthing. A little bit of gratitude helps ease the pain. (a little).
I love it. Mia has been calling us back into her room if she forgets to say I love you to us. And she's heartbroken if we don't come. It's very cute.
